Holiday Inn Express & Suites Newmarket, an IHG Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was all really friendly and nice. The only problem I had was my room had no cold water, shower and sink water was coming out scolding hot. The rooms were a very good size, meeting rooms were big enough for our team party.

Top notch hotel. Breakfast is good. The whole hotel has switched to Fairfield by Marriott and it is freshly renovated to a more modern look. Good rates, quiet and staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely a good stay and will come back to this place. I used Expedia to book which gives great rates. Location is right close to highway and new food gass and banks at east end of town.

The hotel was pretty nice. We had thought we were only staying one night originally for a wedding but decided to come up a night early at the last minute. The hotel still gave us the same group rate we had originally received for the one night stay which was nice. The breakfast that was provided for free was much better than we were used to. It included eggs, sausage, bacon, breads, oatmeal, fruit, etc. My only complaint was that the pillows were a little too soft for me but when I asked, the staff gave me additional pillows at the front desk. Good stay overall.

Stayed here one night before a volleyball tournament. The room was very clean and well kept, but the bathroom could have used a little updating. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was hot, but the toilet was old and didn't seem to have much flushing power. The staff was super friendly and helpful though! The breakfast was pretty good with lots of options. All in all, I would recommend this place to a friend or family member.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights but it's no longer a Holiday Inn as it is now a Fairfield Marriott and I was a bit puzzled when I arrived, thinking I was at the wrong place. Updating the information might help future travellers. The hotel is currently under renovations, which gives a bit of a sad atmosphere inside the main lobby, but it doesn't affect the rooms. My room was clean and the food was good (breakfast). The staff was very good, polite and effective.

Room was very clean, with nice linens and a comfortable bed. We opted for the jacuzzi suite, mainly for the novelty of it. It actually turned out to be a great amenity that didn't bump up the cost of the room a crazy amount. The only area the hotel really dropped the ball was breakfast. It was a really sad selection of "healthy" breakfast items under heat lamps. Turkey sausage patties that were super dry, rubbery omelette pieces, etc. It would be much better to just give guests the reliable old bacon, sausage, and scrambled egg options, and put out some nice fresh fruits, yogurts, and oatmeal packets for alternatives.

We had a great stay this past weekend. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff were kind and super helpful! The breakfast was great and had many healthy options. Our room had two queen beds, which still had plenty of room to move around. I especially loved that the hallways were quiet in the evening, which helped as I like an early bedtime. The pool was perfect for kids, they really loved the buckets that dumped water on their heads. Thank you for hosting our U9 MD Team hockey team! I would definitely stay here in the future.

Excellent staff. Excellent room. Clean and a choice of soft or firm pillows. LG TV with tons of channels. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Cindy at the front desk went out of her way to get me checked in early and was so pleasant and charming. And the night clerk graciously extended my check out time to noon. There is a fabulous breakfast in the morning and the coffee was outstanding. My only regret was I didn't book a second night. But the owner was heading out the door and when I told him I wanted to stay for a second night he was so eager and willing to check the system to see if there was one more room just for me. But I needed to get back home to Barrie. Just the best hotel experience I've ever had. Thank you Holiday Inn Express. I'll be back. P.S. The rates were so good. Enjoy your stay. I certainly did.
